After Drew Brees came alive late, the Saints still needed to stave off a comeback attempt by Jake Locker to get a win over Tennessee.
The New Orleans Saints didn't get in gear until late against the Tennessee Titans in Week 14. But Drew Brees got the Saints their points in the fourth quarter, and New Orleans' defense held off the Jake Locker-led Titans on a final drive for a 22-17 victory.
Brees threw for 337 yards and connected on two touchdown passes to Marques Colston in the fourth quarter. Colston had seven catches for 105 yards to go with the two touchdowns.
Locker, who entered the game early for an injured Matt Hasselbeck, threw for 282 yards and a touchdown despite completing just 13 passes, and ran for another 36 yards and a touchdown. But after cutting the New Orleans lead to five points on a touchdown pass to Nate Washington with just under six minutes to go, his attempt to lead a game-winning drive was thwarted by the Saints.
New Orleans improves to 10-3 on the year with the win, while Tennessee drops to 7-6 with the loss.
