Atlanta staged a major comeback to get a win over lowly Carolina.
Atlanta was down 23-7 at halftime to a suddenly unstoppable Carolina offense. And then the Falcons realized they were playing Carolina's very movable defense.
Matt Ryan threw for 320 yards and four touchdowns, two to Julio Jones in the fourth quarter, as the Falcons stormed back and scored the game's final 24 points for a much-needed 31-23 win.
Jones had just three catches, but tallied 104 receiving yards. Michael Turner ran for 76 yards for the Falcons.
Cam Newton threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns in the victory, but also had two interceptions. And the Panthers' offense's 416 yards of total offense didn't get them enough points to knock off the Falcons.
With the win, Atlanta moves to 8-5 on the year, while the Panthers fall to 4-9 with the loss.
