The Miami Dolphins have fired head coach Tony Sparano, which shouldn't come as a major surprise. There have been reports out of Miami for months that the Dolphins are likely to part ways with Sparano, except we thought that would come at the end of the year.
Instead, the Dolphins have decided to make the switch now. The Dolphins have announced a press conference for Monday afternoon where they're expected to confirm the Sparano news and announce that Todd Bowles will be the interim coach, according to Michael Lombardi.
Bowles was previously an assistant coach with the Cowboys before becoming the Dolphins secondary coach/assistant head coach.
It's been rumored for some time that this job will be available so certainly owner Stephen Ross has done some homework on who he could attract.
