Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Steven Jackson Touchdown Too Little, Too Late

The Rams finally punched the ball into the end zone vs. the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, but it appears to be too little too late for St. Louis. Stephen Jackson punched the ball in from just outside the goal line to pull the Rams within 23-13 late in the fourth quarter.

The rush capped a 10 play, 76-yard drive that was exactly what the Rams had been missing all night. Here's the score from Jackson:

Even with the score, the Rams were not impressive around the end zone. It took St. Louis six plays from the one-yard line (and a helpful taunting penalty on the Seahawks) to get the ball in the end zone.

The touchdown was set up by a big (falling) catch from Brandon Lloyd to get the Rams offense moving. The 37-yard grab is definitely worth a look. Here's the video:

Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Doug Baldwin Touchdown Puts Seattle Up 20-6

Immediately following the St. Louis Rams cutting into the Seattle Seahawks lead with a field goal, Running back Leon Washington took the ensuing kick off 54-yards before being pushed out of bounds at mid-field.

The Seahawks looked as if they'd blow the great field position with a three-and-out, but on 3rd-and-11 quarterback Tarvaris Jackson hit rookie wide receiver Doug Baldwin for a 22-yard gain and a first down. On the very next play, Jackson connected with the rookie receiver again for a 29-yard touchdown pass.

The touchdown by Baldwin is just an addition to a series of big plays the undrafted rookie has made in the game tonight. He's blocked a punt, caught some key third down passes, and added a touchdown to put the Seahawks up over the Rams 20-6.

Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Steve Jackson Run Leads To Rams Field Goal, 13-6

The St. Louis Rams got the football back after a long Seattle Seahawks drive ended in a 38-yard field goal that missed wide right. The drive looked like it was going to be another three-and-out for the Rams. On third-and-13, Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels dialed up a perfect screen pass call.

Running back Steven Jackson caught the football with nothing but open field in front of him. Jackson was finally corralled out of bounds for a 50-yard gain on third-and-long. On the very next play, rookie corner Richard Sherman was called for pass interference setting up the Rams on the 1-yard line. The Rams couldn't capitalize on the great field position after three plays on the goal line were nullified, including an intentional ground call. Josh Brown drilled the 29-yard field goal to cut the lead to 13-6.

Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Sam Bradford Interception Leads To Seattle Field Goal

The Seattle Seahawks came ouf of halftime with a 10-3 lead over the St. Louis Rams. On the first play of the second half, quarterback Sam Bradford dropped back to pass and was picked off by Brandon Browner.

After the interception, the Seahawks offense began to march down the football field thanks in part to running back Marshawn Lynch doing a few "beastmode" runs out of the backfield. On one play in particular, it seemed like Lynch bounced off the entire St. Louis Rams defense. The Seahawks drive stalled out however, and the team wound up settling for a field goal to take a 13-3 lead.

Maybe to get into the endzone, the Seahawks could sneak in a secret weapon... in the form of Skittles... from Marshawn Lynch's mom.

Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Seattle Leads 10-3 At Halftime

After the blocked punt by the Seattle Seahawks that gave them a 7-0 lead over the St. Louis Rams, both team's offenses struggled to get much going on. The teams exchanged punts through the second quarter and each team was able to manage a field goal after some promising drives stalled out.

Mid way through the second quarter, the Seahawks decided to get a bit creative and ran another trick play. Fullback Michael Robinson snuck out of the backfield and lined up as a wide receiver on what looked like a running play. Surprise! It's a halfback pass, that didn't work.

After the ensuing punt, the Rams offense struggled again to get anything going as quarterback Sam Bradford clearly doesn't look comfortable playing on his ankle. Late in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks fumbled the ball on an exchange, giving the ball right back to the Rams. Once again however, the Rams couldn't do anything with the football and punted the ball away. The Seahawks tried to move the ball, but again failed to do so taking a 10-3 lead into the half.

Rams Vs. Seahawks Score Update: Doug Baldwin Blocks A Punt, Seahawks Lead 7-0

The Seattle Seahawks started Monday Night Football with a little bit of trickeration, running a reverse on the opening kickoff. Undrafted rookie wide receiver Doug Baldwin took the ball from Leon Washington, returning it 37-yards to near midfield. The Seahawks offense couldn't do much with the field position however, punting the ball to the St. Louis Rams.

Like the Seahawks, outside of a 26-yard pass from Sam Bradford to rookie tight end Lance Kendricks, the Rams offense stalled out after being pinned deep. The Rams lined up to punt and disaster struck. Doug Baldwin beat his man off the edge and got to the football as it was being punted, blocking it. Fullback Michael Robinson scooped up the football and took it in for the score, to put the Seahawks up 7-0.

Sam Bradford Status Update: Rams QB Will Start Vs. Seahawks

The St. Louis Rams were without starting quarterback Sam Bradford last week against the San Francisco 49ers, when the quarterback once again injured his ankle. Tonight against the Seattle Seahawks however, Bradford will be active and will be start for the Rams. Bradford's status was up in the air and there was a bit of concern because back up quarterback A.J. Feeley is inactive with a thumb injury on his throwing hand.

Here are the remainder of the inactives fo the St. Louis Rams:

QB A.J. Feeley, QB Tom Brandstater, RB Quinn Porter, FB Brit Miller, T Kevin Hughes, DT Fred Robbins, LB Justin Cole.

With both Feeley and Brandstater inactive, this leaves only Bradford and newly signed Kellen Clemens as the only available quarterbacks for the Rams.

The Seahawks inactives on the other hand don't really have any surprises:

QB Josh Portis, OL Paul Fanaika, OL Mike Gibson, DL Pep Levingston, LB Adrian Moten, CB Kennard Cox, S Jeron Johnson
