The Seattle Seahawks started Monday Night Football with a little bit of trickeration, running a reverse on the opening kickoff. Undrafted rookie wide receiver Doug Baldwin took the ball from Leon Washington, returning it 37-yards to near midfield. The Seahawks offense couldn't do much with the field position however, punting the ball to the St. Louis Rams.
Like the Seahawks, outside of a 26-yard pass from Sam Bradford to rookie tight end Lance Kendricks, the Rams offense stalled out after being pinned deep. The Rams lined up to punt and disaster struck. Doug Baldwin beat his man off the edge and got to the football as it was being punted, blocking it. Fullback Michael Robinson scooped up the football and took it in for the score, to put the Seahawks up 7-0.
