The St. Louis Rams got the football back after a long Seattle Seahawks drive ended in a 38-yard field goal that missed wide right. The drive looked like it was going to be another three-and-out for the Rams. On third-and-13, Rams offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels dialed up a perfect screen pass call.
Running back Steven Jackson caught the football with nothing but open field in front of him. Jackson was finally corralled out of bounds for a 50-yard gain on third-and-long. On the very next play, rookie corner Richard Sherman was called for pass interference setting up the Rams on the 1-yard line. The Rams couldn't capitalize on the great field position after three plays on the goal line were nullified, including an intentional ground call. Josh Brown drilled the 29-yard field goal to cut the lead to 13-6.
