The New York Giants hold a shaky NFC East lead over the Dallas Cowboys and they will need to defeat the Washington Redskins to avoid losing ground.
The New York Giants hold a tenuous lead in the NFC East over the Dallas Cowboys and they will need to beat the Washington Redskins on Sunday to distance them or maintain their lead over the 'Boys. The home Giants are seven point favorites over the Redskins this week, according to Odds Shark. As with most lines, this one has fluctuated by half of a point in each direction.
The Redskins and the Giants opened the season against each other back in September. The Redskins defeated the Giants, 28-14, in the game, but that Redskins team, which opened 3-1, is far different from the one that has been playing recently. The Redskins have gone 1-8 since that time and that one victory came against the Seattle Seahawks, hardly the paragon of NFL teams.
The Giants, meanwhile, defeated the Cowboys to end a four-game losing streak. This appears to be the easiest game on the schedule as the New York Jets and the Cowboys are the team's last two opponents of the regular season.
