The Oakland Raiders are fighting for the AFC West crown, but they will need to beat the Detroit Lions to have a legitimate chance at stating in the race.
The Oakland Raiders are feeling the pressure. They had the AFC West division lead but then lost it to the Denver Broncos with back-to-back losses against the Miami Dolphins and the Green Bay Packers. But they are still very much alive for the division title. They'll just need to beat the Detroit Lions this Sunday to keep those chances better than slim. A loss won't doom them, but it will make it just that much harder.
The odds makers see this game being very close. The opening line, according to Odds Shark, was a push, but it has since moved on a couple of lines to 1 and 1.5 points in favor of the Lions. The Lions have been a mixed bag after the 5-0 start and are now 8-5. The Raiders are 7-6 and play the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers to close out the season.
While this is expected to be a close game, it is also looking to be a high-scoring one. The over/under is 47.5 points. The Lions do score the fourth most points in the league at 28.2.
