Falcons Vs. Jaguars Score Update: Atlanta Leads In First Quarter, 10-0

Stay connected with SB Nation

Matt Ryan came out firing, completing his first six passes as the Atlanta Falcons marched down the field on their first two drives of the game. After scoring a touchdown to open the game, Atlanta drove into field goal range on its next series, but stalled in the red zone. Matt Bryant's 33-yard attempt was true, giving the Falcons a 10-0 lead.

Julio Jones found the end zone first, catching a short crossing route and racing into the end zone just over four minutes into the game. In case you were wondering, Jones is still fast.

His 29-yard touchdown put the Atlanta Falcons on top early in the first quarter, 7-0. The Falcons forced the Jags to put on the ensuing possession, then Ryan picked up where he left off as Atlanta drove back down the field.

Late in the first, the Falcons lead the Jags on Thursday Night Football, 10-0.
