The Atlanta Falcons are quickly turning Thursday Night Football into a rout as the Jacksonville Jaguars struggle to keep up. Atlanta has now scored the first 17 points of the game, and the Jags have failed to answer. After Atlanta scored on its first two drives -- taking a 10-0 lead -- the Jacksonville managed to force a punt, only to immediately give the ball back.
The Falcons were gifted excellent field position, thanks to a muffed punt that set them up inside the five.
And Michael Turner quickly took advantage, scampering into the end zone from five yards out. His touchdown run gave Atlanta a 17-0 lead as the Jags watched the game quickly slip away.
That's where it stands with just about nine minutes left in the first half and the Falcons holding a 17-point advantage.
