The Texans look to keep their winning ways going when they meet Cam Newton and the Panthers.
T.J. Yates and the AFC South champion Houston Texans will welcome NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers to Reliant Stadium in a battle of first-year quarterbacks. It may appear that there's not much at stake in this interconference battle, but the Texans are still trying for the AFC's No. 1 seed and their eighth win in a row.
Four of the five CBSSports.com experts pick the Texans to keep up their winning ways. Meanwhile, all ten of ESPN's experts pick the Texans as well, stacking the deck against Cam and Carolina.
Peter King thinks that, in spite of Cam Newton's ability, the Texans will prevail:
Cam Newton can win any game he plays. We've seen that this year. But he hasn't come up against the indomitable force and Tebow Jr.-esque Midas Touch of one T.J. Yates.
