Cowboys Vs. Buccaneers: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More

Stay connected with SB Nation

A reeling Dallas Cowboys club will meet a reeling Tampa Bay Buccaneers club Saturday as both teams attempt late season kickstarts to the year. The Bucs will need to take care of the football better after committing seven turnovers last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

If last Sunday wasn't rock bottom for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it was pretty darn close. The Bucs lost 41-14 to the Jacksonville Jaguars for their seventh straight loss of the season. Turnovers were once again the culprit, with quarterback Josh Freeman accounting for three by his lonesome. On Saturday, they will face a Dallas Cowboys club that is reeling from consecutive losses of their own.

Of course, the Cowboys' two-straight losses have come in a slightly more respectable fashion. Last week's was particularly heartbreaking, however. Up 12 points over the New York Giants with under six minutes to play, Dallas fell victim to a virtuoso Eli Manning performance. Tony Romo played spectacularly in the loss, going 21-for-31 passing for 321 yards and four touchdowns to no interceptions. Once again, defensive breakdowns were the team's undoing.

Luckily, the Cowboys' recent downturn coincides with a trip to Florida to face what is, by every metric, a bad Bucs team. Tampa Bay ranks 25th in the NFL in rushing offense, 27th in passing defense and 28th in rushing defense. A quarterback that had shown so much promise last season and to start the year has struggled to a 12:18 TD:INT ratio this season. The Buccaneers need something to feel good about at the moment, and a win Saturday in primetime would go a long way towards easing the pain.
