Dec 18, 2011 - The San Diego Chargers are finally looking like the team they were supposed to be for much of this season. Their 37-10 win last week against the Buffalo Bills was their second straight, halting a six-game losing streak. At 6-7, the Chargers will have a tough time catching the Denver Broncos in all their Tebow-ness. They have an outside shot if they can win out, however, starting Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
John Harbaugh's club won its fourth straight Sunday, dismantling the Indianapolis Colts just like everybody else has this season. The defense has led the way all season for the Ravens, starting with a pass rush that has greatly improved since last season. Baltimore leads the league with 45 sacks on the year. Terrell Suggs had three last Sunday to bring his total up to 13 for the year.
The Ravens will have to contend with a rejuvenated Philip Rivers, however, who has been on fire with Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd healthy and in the lineup. A more diverse array of options has opened up some breathing space for Antonio Gates, who caught seven passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns last week. The Ravens will try to force the Chargers out of rhythm with a ball-control offense led by Ray Rice, who has 307 yards rushing over his last two games combined.
