The New York Giants control their own destiny and will look to take another step towards an NFC East title with a win over the Washington Redskins
Thanks to a second botched last-second field goal in as many weeks by the Dallas Cowboys, the 7-6 New York Giants now control their own playoff destiny in the NFC East. If they are able to win out, regardless of what the Cowboys do, they'll be into the playoffs as division champions and will play a home wild card game. They can take the first step towards that with a victory over the Washington Redskins in Week 15.
When the two teams met at FedEx Field in Week 1, Rex Grossman was in spectacular form while Eli Manning had a poor game, leading to a 28-14 Redskins win. The two teams have gone in significantly different directions since then, and the Redskins have lost eight of their last nine games while switching between Grossman and John Beck at quarterback.
Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs should both be available for the entire game for the Giants' for the first time in weeks. The Redskins' offensive line is decimated, while the Giants' pass rush has been spectacular in recent weeks. The Redskins are serious underdogs, and will need more than a couple of bounces to go their way in this one.
