A.J. Green Injury: Bengals WR Returns In Second Half

Stay connected with SB Nation

Good news for the Cincinnati Bengals, as rookie wide receiver A.J. Green has returned after halftime from a shoulder injury. Green was listed as questionable to return after tripping and falling hard on his right shoulder going for a deep pass from fellow rookie, quarterback Andy Dalton. On the play, the St. Louis Rams were called for pass interference - though the only contact was instigated by Green himself, and he just got tripped up by his own feet.

Though he's back in the game, he didn't do much at all on Cincinnati's opening possession of the half. Though the Bengals eventually got into St. Louis territory and kicked a field goal to tie the game at 6-6 with a 41-yarder, Green wasn't targeted on the drive. On fourth down, Green was in to block, and let his right arm hang at his side, trying to protect with his left one, though he could just be being safe with it.
