Seattle Seahawks defensive end Red Bryant is no stranger to the fat guy interception. He had a pick versus the Rams in Week 11, and picked up his second of the season today against the Chicago Bears. Making this one a candidate for best fat guy interception of the year was Bryant returning it 20 yards for a touchdown, giving Seattle a 21-14 lead over the Bears in the third quarter.
Check out the video of Bryant’s interception and touchdown here.
Fat guy interception and touchdown of the year? We’ll let you decide. The Seahawks will take, award worthy or not.
For the Bears, that was Caleb Hanie’s second interception of the game. They led by a score of 14-7 at the half, but Seattle has two third quarter touchdowns to take the lead away from them.
Hanie now has eight interceptions on the season, since he took over for an injured Jay Cutler.
