After a big fumble return for a touchdown that put the Philadelphia Eagles up 7-0, the New York Jets turned their luck around by recovering a fumble on the punt return by Philadelphia returner Curtis Marsh. Unfortunately for the Jets, that possession turned right into a Mark Sanchez interception. Sanchez threw to Santonio Holmes (allegedly), but Asante Samuel picked it off in the red zone, forcing another turnover.
That second turnover would lead to more points for the Eagles, as Michael Vick took over at the 23-yard line. He completed a 16-yard pass to Jeremy Maclin to start the drive, and after a couple runs, was set up with a 2nd and 9 at the Jets 26, just outside the red zone. Vick dropped back, with pressure right in his face, and delivered the ball to tight end Brent Celek, who fought through tacklers to take it into the endzone for a touchdown, and a Philadelphia 14-0 lead.
