The Cincinnati Bengals are still very much in the race for an AFC Wild Card berth, and they got some good news early on Monday. Star rookie wide receiver A.J. Green, who picked up a shoulder injury in the first half of the Bengals' game against the St. Louis Rams and had to leave the game, but eventually made a return after being administered a pain killer. His injury was called a shoulder sprain, and he said he was optimistic that he could continue to play through it.
Green's head coach Marvin Lewis echoed those sentiments on Monday morning, saying "I think he'll be OK." Green will probably be in some pain for his team's game against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16, but it's unlikely to stop him from playing. His team is currently tied with the New York Jets for the final Wild Card place and out on a tiebreaker and will be treating the game against the Cardinals as a must-win.
