The San Francisco 49ers have a hold of the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff scene, but they'll need to defeat the Seattle Seahawks to keep it.
All the way back on Sept. 11, before we knew the San Francisco 49ers were going to be one of the top teams in the league, they defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 33-17. Fifteen weeks later, the two teams meet in Seattle. For the 49ers, they are looking to keep hold of the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture. However, they are just 1.5 point favorites over the Seahawks, according to Odds Shark.
While the 49ers enter this game having just defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Seahawks also come in strong for this game with wins in five of the last six games. Those victories include ones over the Baltimore Ravens and the late-arriving Philadelphia Eagles.
The 49ers were upset by the Arizona Cardinals a couple of weeks ago, which leaves open the possibility of another one this week. The odds makers put the over/under at just 38 points for this game.
