The Indianapolis Colts are riding the momentum of their first win of the season, but it only took one play for the Houston Texans defense to completely deflate that. On the first play of the game, Brian Cushing blitzed and got through the line of scrimmage, hitting quarterback Dan Orlovsky and stripping the football on the sack. Rookie linebacker Brooks Reed recovered the fumble, setting up the Texans in the redzone immediately.
It didn't take long for the Texans to take the early 7-0 lead. In just two plays, both by running back Arian Foster, the Texans got in the endzone. Foster took the ball off the left side for a 9-yard score. This isn't the kind of start the Colts want if they want to win, but it's the kind of start they don't mind if they really want Andrew Luck.
