Willis McGahee Goes Over 1,000 Rushing Yards For Season

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee joined the 1,000-yard rushing club on Saturday. Prior to the Broncos' Week 16 game at Buffalo, McGahee was sitting on 990 yards. A productive first quarter put him over the hump.

This is the fourth time in McGahee's nine-year career that he has had more than 1,000 rushing yards. The last time he accomplished that feat was in 2007 with the Baltimore Ravens.

McGahee has experienced a revitalized career with the Broncos this season, mirroring a theme in Denver. At age 30, many had written McGahee off prior to the start of the season. He started just twice last season, rushing for only 380 yards in his final year with the Ravens.

Denver added McGahee after the Ravens released him to save cap space once the lockout ended. He has six 100-yard games with the Broncos this season.
