In a game with major playoff implications for both teams, the Detroit Lions' Dominic Raiola and San Diego Chargers' Antwan Barnes got tangled up in a fight before the game even began, when Barnes was just trying to come out of the tunnel:
It's impossible to say what precipitated the fight — clearly something happened to which we as spectators were not privy — but emotions are clearly running high for this game that means so much to both teams. With a win, the Lions clinch their first postseason birth since 1999. After the Oakland Raiders' victory and the Denver Broncos' loss in the early games, the Chargers are still very much in the mix for the AFC West division title.
The Lions have already taken the lead on a touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Brandon Pettigrew, as this game promises to be a good one.
