It's a battle of two disappointing teams in the NFC East. Can the Eagles scratch their way to .500, or will the Redskins pick up one more win?
In August, everyone just assumed that the Philadelphia Eagles would be resting their starters in Week 17, getting ready for the playoffs. Instead, they enter a season finale against the Washington Redskins hoping to finish at 8-8, saving jobs rather than resting starters for the playoffs.
The Eagles did finally start to get things together, winning their last three consecutive games. Washington has continued to struggle, losing a tennis match to the Vikings last week. Philly opened the week favored by nine and a half points. Since then the line has moved up to ten points. Washington is 6-8-1 against the spread. Philadelphia is 7-8 against the spread.
The over/under is 46 and a half points on this game. Philadelphia could make that happen with their explosive offense, and most bettors seem to think the over is where the smart money is this week.
