NFL Picks And Predictions Week 17: Redskins Vs. Eagles

The Eagles want to get back to .500 at the end of a frustrating season.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan is confident with the players on the current roster and the direction his team's heading.

Practically any coach would wax poetic about their respective team even though the public's perception may be few and far between, and Washington's 5-10 record in 2011 hasn't been much to get excited over. But what may be contrary to popular belief, Shanahan still feels progress has been made this season.

Shanahan has one more game left on the 2011 schedule and will try to take one from the NFC East-rival Philadelphia Eagles on New Year's Day from Lincoln Financial Field.

The CBS Sports experts all think the Eagles will go out a winner. The ESPN folks agree.

Peter King thinks the Eagles will get the win, get back to .500 and silence some critics...at least for a while.

Suddenly, I don't hear everyone lining up the firing squad for Andy Reid.
