An 8-8 record is the goal for the Seahawks and Cardinals this weekend.
The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks were officially eliminated from playoff contention last week, although both sides are playing for something in the final week of the year: a .500 record. With both the Cardinals and Seahawks at 7-8, a win would bring a lot for both organizations to build off of next season as they continue to develop and work to playing postseason football once again.
Heading into week 17, Arizona is a three point favorite at home over the visiting Seahawks. Other various websites have the Cardinals anywhere as 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 point favorites, according to Odds Shark. The over/under for the matchup is 36 1/2 points, which seems a little low considering the improvements the two teams have made offensively throughout the season.
Three of the five CBS Sports experts think the Cardinals will go out a winner. Meanwhile, eight of the ten ESPN experts are picking the Seahawks.
Peter King thinks Seattle wins this one and finishes the year 8-8.
Daughter Mary Beth, a Seattleite, says the Seahawks are finally starting to play like a team instead of a bunch of individuals. And also, she almost named her dog after Mike Holmgren a few years ago.
