The Tennessee Titans must have been feeling a little slighted after a controversial call reversed a C.J. Spiller fumble and gave him a touchdown. Rather than let that break their momentum, the Titans answered on the very next series. Fittingly, they answered with a 48-yard Chris Johnson touchdown run.
Here is the video of Johnson’s long run and the score.
After looking like a wash this year, Johnson found new life to his 2011 season last week. He ran for 190 yards, and did so looking like the running back who demanded a hefty contract prior to the start of the season. So far today, Johnson has 64 rushing yards and a touchdown on just four carries.
The Titans are happy to have Johnson back, tearing up obituaries for the NFL running back’s career.
Johnson’s touchdown gave the Titans the lead again, making it 10-7, but they way the game has gone so far, there could be plenty of back and forth.

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller faced all kinds of doubts about his ability to fill the void left by running back Fred Jackson, who landed on injured reserve. In today’s game against the Tennessee Titans, Spiller broke off the best run of his career, a 35-yard run that nearly ended on a sour note.
Nearing the plane of the goal line, it looked as though Spiller fumbled the ball, forced out by Titans safety Michael Griffin. The refs ruled it a fumble, which would have resulted in a touchback since it bounced out of the end zone.
But today might just be Spiller and Bills’ lucky day. The call was reviewed and subsequently reversed, giving Spiller a touchdown on the recovery, and infuriating Titans’ fans.
See the play for yourself right here.
It is definitely a close call, to say the least. That gave Buffalo a 7-3 lead in the first quarter.
