The New York Giants drew first blood in a big game against the undefeated Green Bay Packers. On the first possession of the game, quarterback Eli Manning hit tight end Travis Beckum for a 67-yard touchdown. That made it 7-0 in favor of the Giants, but Green Bay would add a touchdown of their own a little later in the quarter.
Here is the video of Beckum’s touchdown catch.
That was the first touchdown of the season for the third-year tight end, who had just two yards on one catch prior to today’s game.
Manning has completed five of seven passes for 117 yards and one touchdown.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers connected with his tight end, Jermichael Finley, for a 12-yard touchdown roughly 90 seconds later to tie the game. Since then, the Giants have added a field goal to take the lead back, making it 10-7. New York needs a win to stay in the hunt for the NFC East title.
