The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Detroit Lions in a Sunday Night Football matchup. Through much of the first half, the Saints controlled the scoring, but with less than 3:00 left in the half the Lions were finally able to get on the board. New Orleans leads by a score of 17-7.
The Lions offense was able to put together an 80-yard drive that was fairly necessary at keeping the Lions in the game. QB Matthew Stafford led the charge down the field following a Saints score, eating up 5:35 on the clock before Kevin Smith was able to power his way into the end zone for a two-yard touchdown run.
Stafford is 11-for-14 so far in the game with 110 passing yards and no interceptions.
