On Saturday, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was involved in a one-car accident in which his car crashed into a tree. There were two passengers in the car, at least one of whom was a female who was injured. This woman was quoted in a police report regarding the accident providing statements that directly contradict those of Suh. Because she fears possible retaliation from those who know Suh, she has asked that her name remain undisclosed.
This is a bit odd because, presumably, Suh knows the woman in question and knows that she contradicted the account of the accident that he gave to police. The majority of people in the world know the identities of people they allow to be passengers in their personal automobiles. If Suh was looking to get revenge on the woman and wanted an acquaintance of his to retaliate against her in some way, he wouldn't need to see her name in a police report to do so.
The Lions and the NFL are still looking into the matter, but the police are not currently investigating the accident further.
