The 9-3 Pittsburgh Steelers can move a half a game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North race when they open up the final quarter of the regular season against the 4-8 Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field on Thursday night.
Pittsburgh enters Thursday night on a three-game winning streak, keeping pace with the 9-3 Ravens atop the AFC North. The Ravens swept the season series against the Steelers, who are 2-0 against other divisional opponents after defeating the Bengals in two of the last three weeks, including a 35-7 drubbing on Sunday that may have been the most complete performance the Steelers have had all season.
The Browns are literally limping into the final portion of their season. Quarterback Colt McCoy has a right knee sprain and running back Peyton Hillis is day-to-day with an injured hip, the latest hiccup on what has been a disastrous and injury-plagued 2011 season for the Madden '12 cover athlete.
Pittsburgh has dominated the series lately, winning 14 of their last 15 games. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a 12-1 record against the Browns and the two teams will close out their 2011 regular seasons against one another on New Year's Day in Cleveland.
