Coming off a loss to the Miami Dolphins, the Oakland Raiders are big underdogs to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field this week. Experts around the internet agree, picking the Packers almost unanimously to win Sunday.
The Oakland Raiders actually had a nice thing going before last week's loss to a Miami Dolphins squad that has actually found a pulse. With the Green Bay Packers on deck in Week 14, however, experts across the internet-sphere agree that the Silver and Black should drop their second straight when they visit Lambeau Field.
The panels at ESPN, Yahoo! Sports and CBS Sports like the Packers to win by unanimous consent, 19-0 (which, by the way, could be the Packers record this year). Pete Prisco wasn't put off by last week's demolition by the Dolphins, however, giving the Raiders a chance in a squeaker, though still losing, 27-26, to Green Bay.
Peter King wasn't so charitable, predicting a 16-point Packers victory over a limping Raiders squad.
Jacoby Ford, Darren McFadden, Denarius Moore. Those three men stand in the way of the Raiders making this a great football game, because they're likely to be sidelined again as the Broncos threaten to pass Oakland by. In other news, the Packers quietly will advance to 13-0, and Mike McCarthy will quietly decline to discuss whether Green Bay will go all-in to finish 16-0.
There is a glimmer of hope out there for Oakland, however, and his name is SB Nation's Andrew Sharp, who took the Raiders this week despite the odds.
It would've been a lot easier to pick the Raiders this week if they hadn't looked so awful against Miami last week. But maybe it was all part of Hue Jackson's plan???
