The Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants on Sunday in a game that could decide the fate of the NFC East. The Giants ride into Dallas on a four-game losing streak.
The New York Giants have run up against a murderer's row of teams over the last five weeks, facing the like of New England, San Francisco, Philadelphia, New Orleans and Green Bay. Though the G-Men had their moments, they ultimately went 1-4 against the gauntlet, losing their last four in a row. The Dallas Cowboys are trending much better, having won four out of their last five, albeit against much weaker competition. Still, the internet frowns upon losers, with a large majority of NFL experts taking Dallas to win at home in Week 14.
Among the 19 experts spread across the panels at ESPN, Yahoo! Sports and CBS Sports, 14 sided with the Cowboys in Sunday's divisional matchup. Pete Prisco likes Tony Romo over Eli Manning in a shootout. SB Nation's Andrew Sharp likes Dallas as well, promising not to hit the snooze Monday morning to watch the game in China.
SI's Peter King cuts against the conventional grain this week, taking the G-Men in a tight contest. The reason? Ahmad Bradshaw.
I'll tell you what's strange about the NFC East race: The Giants are in it, they're on a four-game losing streak, and they're 3-6 in conference games. The reason I like them here? Ahmad Bradshaw's return gives them a chance to NOT have Eli Manning need a 375-yard game for New York to win.
