The Seattle Seahawks are the near unanimous pick across the internet to beat the St. Louis Rams on Monday night. The Rams may be forced to start Tim Brandstater at quarterback due to injuries to Sam Badford and A.J. Feeley.
The Seattle Seahawks are probably not the best team in the NFL, but in the last weeks they've managed to put together some strong wins including takedowns of the Baltimore Ravens and the Philadelphia Eagles. Judging from the wave of popular opinion coming from the internet, Seattle is a downright juggernaut compared to the struggling St. Louis Rams.
The Rams may be down to third-stringer Tim Brandstater at quarterback this week, spelling certain doom according to NFL experts. SI's Peter King sees Seattle maintaining its playoff campaign.
With the Eastern Seaboard watching Chevy Chase and that wacky squirrel wreaking havoc on the Griswold family Christmas, Tarvaris Jackson gets the Seahawks to 6-7 behind a patchwork offensive line in a game only Ron Jaworski could love.
Pete Prisco agrees that the Rams will get "lit up." Meanwhile, SB Nation's Andrew Sharp may have better things to do than watch this game from the other side of the world. The panels at Yahoo! Sports and CBS Sports like the Seahawks as well. The folks over at ESPN nearly come to the same consensus, with Mike Golic perhaps the only man across the web standing up for St. Louis.
