Damien Woody was among the four players the New York Jets will reportedly cut, according to the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta. Woody took to Twitter Monday night and confirmed that he had indeed been informed of his release:

Woody then spent much of the evening defending himself from jilted Jets fans and/or "haters."

Woody just finished his third season with the Jets and his 12th overall. He is coming off of arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The Jets have inferred that they may be interested in re-signing Woody at a lower salary.
