Earlier this week at the NFL owners meetings, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was asked why a long-term deal hadn't been completed with QB Peyton Manning, who is currently under the franchise tag.
Irsay said that was probably a better question for agent Tom Condon indicating they had already made him an offer that would make him the highest paid player in the game.
That suggested there might be some tension between the two sides. Maybe that's the case but Irsay's latest tweet would suggest otherwise as he wishes his quarterback a happy 35th birthday:

It's also interesting to note that he says Manning has 10 years left in him. That would mean he's playing until age 45 which is a little crazy to think about.
Then again, he hasn't missed a game in his entire career -- 13 years.
