Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall was stabbed on Friday and taken to an area hospital where surgery was performed. He is expected to be OK in two to three weeks, according to reports.
In the police report, Marshall claimed he fell on a vase. Of course we now know that's not the truth. His wife has already admitted that she stabbed him, claiming it was out of self defense, and she has been jailed.
Details of the incident are still coming in but I thought one detail -- Marshall claiming he fell on a vase -- sounded familiar.
That's because, three years ago, Marshall had surgery on his right arm after claiming he slipped on a McDonald's wrapper and put his arm through the TV. Like this incident, his initial claim wasn't truthful. Marshall later took back what he said and admitted he was wrestling with his brother when his arm went through the TV and that he didn't slip on a McDonald's wrapper.
The details are different but Marshall's less-than-truthful statement sounds familiar.
