POLL: Is Rich Eisen The Most Likable TV Sportscreature?

The majority of sports news anchors, reporters, analysts, and hosts are actively disliked. They're abrasive, or they disrespect your favorite team/player, or their analysis is stupid, or they're boring, or something else. Either sports fans are hopelessly picky and overcritical, or this industry does a terrible job of hiring and promoting people (hint: it is the latter).

This, I think, is why it's especially important to recognize the people in the business who do a great job. I'm not the only one who would place Rich Eisen in this category. The NFL Network host is smart, presents a friendly tone, is enthusiastic about his subject matter without getting too serious, engages in good coversation with the other guys in the booth, and, most importantly, is eminently huggable.

We'll leave it for you to decide, though.
