Jerry Hughes Arrested For Public Intoxication With TCU Teammate, Former Cowboys LB
Jerry Hughes, Indianapolis Colts draft pick by way of the TCU Horned Frogs, was reportedly arrested in Dallas for public intoxication Saturday night, according to WFAA-TV's Rebecca Lopez and others. Hughes was reportedly out on the town with former Dallas Cowboys LB Stephen Hodge and TCU senior Cory Grant -- Hodge is another fellow former Frog.
The revelers were reportedly hauled in at 2:30 am near The Bank nightclub while celebrating Hodge's 24th birthday. Details are slim, but it sounds like some sort of minor scuffle had broken out and was tumbling onto the sidewalk.
After a dominant college career, Hughes was picked by the Colts in the 2010 NFL Draft's first round. He appeared in 12 games in relief of Indy's top-notch pass rushing bookends Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney, failing to record a sack. Hodge was released by Dallas in 2010, and Grant finished TCU career with an All-Mountain West Conference streak before going undrafted.
