Robert Gallery Reuniting With Tom Cable In Seattle, According To Report
The Seattle Seahawks are bringing in another offensive lineman -- G Robert Gallery. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Gallery agreed to a three-year deal with the Seahawks. Like the rest of these reported signings, this one isn't official until Friday night when players are allowed to sign with teams.
Gallery will reunite with Seahawks offensive line coach Tom Cable, who was Gallery's head coach with the Oakland Raiders. Cable's presence is significant because he's one of the guys that helped Gallery go from a bust as a left tackle to a solid left guard. Good news for both parties there.
The Seahawks will have a new quarterback in 2011 after QB Matt Hasselbeck though it's unclear exactly who Gallery will be blocking for this season.
The Raiders spent the second overall pick on Gallery in the 2004 NFL draft. After three years, he was moved from offensive tackle to offensive guard where he played much better.
