The Minnesota Vikings have hopped into the race for OT Jermon Bushrod, according to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. They're reportedly competing with the New Orleans Saints for his services.
Bushrod is one of the top tackles on the free agency market so he'll have his options. What's interesting, as Jensen pointed out, is figuring out what their pursuit of Bushrod means for incumbent OT Bryant McKinnie. That's unclear for the moment.
There are going to be a number of teams connected to Bushrod. He's one of the top offensive tackles available and it's hard to come by solid offensive tackles so he'll be in demand.
Any deal he agrees to can't become official until Friday night when players are permitted to sign with teams.
