Nick Eason Agrees To Terms With Arizona Cardinals, According To Report

Former Steelers defensive end Nick Eason has agreed to a deal with the Arizona Cardinals.

As @ClaytonESPN reported, Cardinals have come to terms on a two year deal with Steelers DE Nick Eason.

It's no surprise that the Cardinals, whose head coach, Ken Whisenhunt, and defensive coordinator, Ray Horton, used to coach for Pittsburgh, would take an interest in Eason, but he's mostly just a depth guy. He played a bunch for the Steelers in 2010 after fellow defensive ends Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel went down with injuries, but he didn't make much of an impact.

The Steelers have 2009 first-round pick Ziggy Hood emerging as a starter to replace one of the aging Smith and Keisel, and they also took defensive end Cameron Heyward in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Eason became expendable, leading to Thursday's reported signing with the Cardinals.
