Danieal Manning, Houston Texans Agree To Contract, According To Report
Michael C. Wright tweets that the Houston Texans have agreed to a deal with former Chicago Bears safety Danieal Manning.
It's been a great week for the Texans, who have also just added Johnathan Joseph, one of the top cornerbacks on the free agent market. Between Joseph and Manning, the Texans have upgraded their secondary enormously. And not a moment too soon, since their passing defense was the worst in the NFL last year.
Manning will pair with former cornerback Glover Quin to form the Texans' safety tandem. Meanwhile, Joseph will play alongside Kareem Jackson at corner. The Texans also added cornerback Brandon Harris via the draft.
The Bears appear likely to depend on Chris Harris and Major Wright at safety.
