After being spurned by the Jets, who elected to sign Plaxico Burress instead, Braylon Edwards is reportedly in talks with the Arizona Cardinals. Cardinals players, led by Edwards' friend and former teammate Kerry Rhodes, appear to be even more on board with the move than Cardinals management at this juncture:
Hearing more than 1 Cardinal player lobbying both sides to get WR Braylon Edwards to AZ.
Adding Edwards would seal a complete 180 for the Cardinals' offense, which last year looked like they couldn't score on The University of Phoenix's football team. Now, after the Kevin Kolb trade, they have Larry Fitzgerald, Todd Heap and potentially Braylon Edwards — a three-headed monster of giant targets with either great hands (Heap, Fitz) or the ability to bring down jump balls (Fitz, Edwards).
Clearly the Cardinals' players are on board with the move as well, which always helps chemistry.
