What, you thought the New England Patriots were done making moves? After a couple of blockbuster trades that netted them DT Albert Haynesworth and WR Chad Ochocinco, the Patriots are back at it again bringing in former Chicago Bears DT Tommie Harris for a visit, according to the Boston Herald.
Harris was released by the Bears on Feb. 28 before the NFL lockout began so he's been without a team all summer. There have been some rumors that the Patriots are tweaking their defense and bringing in Harris, who has only played in a 4-3 defense, could support that line of thinking.
Harris has been with the Bears since they picked him up with their first round pick in the 2004 NFL draft. He's been bogged down by injuries in recent years but the Patriots have a way of taking players like this and reviving their careers so it'll be interesting to see what happens if they decide to pick him up.
We'll see if the Pats pick him up. It would be a good fit for him if there's enough playing time.
