Free agent WR Randy Moss had decided to retire from the NFL after 13 years, his agent tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. The news comes as a bit of a surprise because we thought Moss was still trying to play this season but, alas, he's gone and his five-year countdown to the Hall of Fame starts.
We'll remember Moss for a number of things. His hilarious "Straight cash, homey" quote. His incredible rookie season with the Vikings. His 23 touchdowns in one season with the Patriots.
But, most of all, we'll remember just how damn good he was. Check out this video demonstrating that:
That came just last year so even to the end he still had it. It's unfortunate that his career didn't end on a high-note. Last season he was traded from the Patriots to the Vikings, where he last only a couple of weeks, and found a home with the Titans for a nondescript end to his career.
