Cam Newton Compares NFL Playbook To Dr. Seuss, Shakespeare

In an effort to ease Cam Newton into the NFL, the Carolina Panthers sent him a playbook during the lockout. But being the nice organization it is, Carolina sent Newton a watered-down version of the offense to accelerate his learning curve. After all, NFL playbooks are big and confusing beasts.

Newton's head is spinning. Due to the lockout, the Panthers are forced to install a new offense at an accelerated pace. Newton had a playbook during the lockout to study, but he said it was a far cry from what he has now.
