Bad news for the Jets: OL Robert Turner suffered a broken leg on Monday Night Football and will be out 8-10 weeks, according to a report.

Bad news, New York Jets fans: OL Robert Turner's injury is as bad as it looked. The Jets offensive lineman broke his leg against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football and will have surgery to correct it, according to the NY Daily News. He'll be out for approximately 8-10 weeks, according to the report.

Turner was injured in the first quarter when Texans' rookie J.J. Watt rolled up on him after beating Vlad Ducasse. Mark Sanchez stepped up in the pocket before he was sacked. Watt, meanwhile, rolled up on Turner from behind. The center's right leg was caught underneath Watt.

The one goal for every team in the preseason is to avoid injuries so the Jets can't be feeling too good right now, especially with an offensive line that was thin already.

Turner performed a lot of duties along the offensive line and he's one of those guys that can do multiple things that every team wants to have. For example, he was starting at center on Monday night in place of the injured C Nick Mangold.

The Jets will probably be looking in free agency for a backup center. They have approximately $7 million in salary cap space to find one.
