Lions Vs. Browns: Game Time, TV Schedule, Position Battles and More

Colt McCoy will attempt to lead the Browns to a 2-0 preseason record over Matthew Stafford and the Lions, who are also looking to stay undefeated, on Friday night in Cleveland.

Lions Vs. Browns

The Detroit Lions head to Cleveland to play the Browns in the second week of the NFL's preseason schedule on Friday night. The Lions are coming off of a 34-3 beat down of the Cincinnati Bengals and will be looking to get a second straight win over the AFC North. Matthew Stafford looked impressive in the two short series he played against the Bengals and will likely be on the field for a longer period of time Friday night. Behind him, at the running back position, there's a battle between two former Browns halfbacks, Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell, to be a backup to starting running back Jhavid Best. Also, don't expect to see Lions first-round pick Nick Fairley playing next to Ndamukong Suh on Friday as he's still recovering from offseason surgery on his foot.

The Browns are coming off a 27-17 win against the Green Bay Packers. Browns new head coach Pat Shurmer's decision to start Colt McCoy at quarterback seems to be a good decision so far. McCoy was impressive when he was on the field against the Packers, completing nine of 10 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown, while running Cleveland's new West Coast offense. Browns fans may get to get their first glimpse of their 2010 second-round pick, running back Montario Hardesty, who missed the entire 2010 season with a torn ACL in his left knee. He returned to drills at training camp this week.
