Tennessee Titans Agree To Terms With DE Jacob Ford

The Tennessee Titans have reached an agreement to re-sign defensive end Jacob Fordaccording to reports. Terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

After a stellar collegiate career at Central Arkansas -- and a stunning combine showing in which he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds -- Ford was drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. After missing the '07-'08 season with an injury in his left Achilles tendon, the 28-year old made his team debut a year later, exceeding expectations by compiling 26 tackles, seven sacks, and two forced fumbles in 14 games.

Ford continued that success last season, achieving career highs in tackles (42) and stuffs (5). Throughout his three-year career, the Memphis-native has amassed 90 tackles, 15.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles. While he will not be allowed to practice until Thursday, Ford is expected to provide significant depth to the Titans' end position alongside Derrick Morgan, William Hayes, and converted defensive tackle Jason Jones.
