Though he was believed to be heading back to the 49ers, NT Aubrayo Franklin has agreed to a deal with the Saints.

We thought there would be a healthy market for NT Aubrayo Franklin after the San Francisco 49ers were reportedly prepared to lose him in free agency. What we saw was nearly a week go by with apparently very little interest on the open market for Franklin's services.

He has now found a home -- with the New Orleans SaintsThis according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It was believed earlier this week that Franklin's most likely landing spot was with the 49ers but the Saints pulled off a free agency surprise.

Franklin played under the franchise tag with the 49ers to the tune of about $7 million so it'll be interesting to see what he ended up with in New Orleans after going unsigned for a week.

The Saints have now added a couple of good defensive tackles in Franklin and DT Shaun Rogers.
